Our Itinerary
Wed. 9/9: Patty arrives LAX in the evening. We have a b-day drink in Venice then go to Ventura. Stay at La Quinta.
Thurs: Ventura - La Quinta. Walked around town. Dinner Mackenzies. Very hot day.
Fri: Ventura - pick up motor home and stay at Ventura Beach RV Park.
Sat: Ventura - same park.
Sun: Leo Carillo State Beach. Site 21. Spike surfed. Saw Iain - Lifeguard ranger we knew from Emma Wood. Other lifeguard is Brandon.
Mon: Headed north. Stayed at Yanks in Greenfield.
Tue/Wed/Thurs: Santa Cruz. SC Harbour RV. Site 12. Boardwalk, downtown, movie at old timey theatre, dinner at Palomar, Om Gallery, saw Mayan, happy hour over looking harbour entrance - volleyball, sunset cruises. Yoga at pure power yoga. Lots of bike riding. Great weather.
Fri 9/18: Half Moon Bay - Pillar Point RV. Jeff Clark surf shop, tapas restaurant. (there are self contained sites just north of there in the boat launch area - plenty of avail sites).
Sat: Headed south - stayed at Yanks.
Sun: Ventura - V-Beach RV Park. Dinner w/our new friend Michael at Lure
Mon: Santa Barbara. San Marcos Pass - tour of old Chumash Indian grounds. Dinner w/Dave & Patty West.
Tue: Ventura - RV Park. Bike riding CA street. Dinner at campsite with Michael - he made homemade tomato sauce with tomatoes he gets from open field.
Wed: Turn in motorhome and head south in rental car. Lunch w/Pat. Met Jackie, Jody, Gina at Brennans. Stayed at Comfort Inn by airport. Good hotel/bad neighborhood.
Thurs: L.A. Breakfast w/Jackie & Ron in Venice. Hollywood strip, then to Gina's house. 16 y-o Dakota and her friend Sidra made our day.
Fri 9/25: 8am flight back.
Note for future (from couple we met at Yanks):
- good RV Park in Morro Bay - Cypress
- About 15 miles no. of Santa Cruz there is a KOA RV Park (North ___) off the main highway. Very nice park with spa, restaurants, etc.
