"PICKIN ON" with David West

Patty and I had dinner with David and Patty West..a ritual we manage to pull off about once a year. I've known David for more 40 years. A musician's musician David fine tuned his talent during the 1970's in and around the Santa Barbara area.

Since then David opened a recording studio and produced the "PICKIN ON" series of CD's. The several dozen in the series has been and still is a major success. It began with "PICKIN ON CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH then " PICKIN ON THE GREATFUL DEAD, PICKIN ON ERIC CLAPTON, PICKIN ON JOHN MEYER, PICKIN ON THE BYRDS and so forth. Taking their music and putting them to progressive bluegrass. David plays the majority of instruments in the later series as well as being their producer. In other words, the dude has talent to spare.

California always seems to be about 10 years ahead of the rest of the country. I know these windmills have provided power for at least the past 30 years.
